Lindsay Lohan Is Also A Thief

Not only does Lindsay Lohan have a drug problem. Apparently, she also likes to steal from people’s homes. We sincerely hope that the troubled starlet doesn’t run into LL Cool J anytime soon.

Although Lohan is off the hook concerning a theft from a Hollywood Hills home, she seemed still upset about the situation four days after the alleged incident, according to her Twitter comments.

The actress went to Twitter to decry “lies” being told about her regarding the theft.

“Whenever I’m doing great, people fabricate lies.” Lohan wrote. “It’s such a shame.”

Los Angeles Police Department detectives had presented evidence to prosecutors Tuesday after several days of investigation, identifying Lohan as well as Gavin Lawrence Doyle and Andrew Nicholas Payan as suspects in the case.

Lohan and one of the alleged victims, identified as millionaire Sam Magid, had a “long-standing relationship,” and he did not identify any of the suspects, prosecutors said.

Although one of the suspects made a “vague admission” that someone had taken something, none of the suspects was found with any property.

In addition, prosecutors noted in the filing that eyewitnesses in the case did not cooperate with authorities, and the victims did not wish to pursue a criminal prosecution of the case.

LAPD detectives had been seeking to talk with Lohan after several items, including cash, sunglasses and a credit card holder, were reported stolen from a home Aug. 18.

The incident is the latest in a series of brushes with the law for Lohan, who has been trying to put her much-chronicled legal troubles behind her and resume her acting career.

She was on probation for a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence. Since then, she has also been convicted of shoplifting and was on probation for that offense as well.

Lohan was sent to jail several times for violating the terms of her probation. But she hewed to a strict regimen of counseling and community service at the county morgue.

In March, a judge ended her probation in the DUI case and reduced the shoplifting probation to unsupervised status.

In the latest case, according to prosecutors, the victims were asleep in the residence about 7:45 a.m. Aug. 18, when they became aware that someone was trying to get into the master bedroom of the home.

They searched for the suspects and saw a man later identified as Doyle standing outside the home. The man fled. While trying to call 911, an unidentified woman at the home saw a newer model BMW parked in front of the home and a second man enter the vehicle, which then drove away.

When LAPD officers arrived at the home, the victims reported that keys from cars at the home as well as cash, sunglasses and a credit card holder were missing.

Day laborers working across the street identified two men and a woman who arrived at the residence in a tan BMW around the time the crime reportedly occurred and then went inside.

But police were unable to find any evidence of forced entry into the cars or the home. A security guard interviewed by police said that at 2 a.m. that morning Lohan came to the home and wanted to enter it to speak with Magid.

She was told she could not come in and asked the guard if Magid was in the home with “some other girl.”

When a car accident claim is filed, most of them are settle outside of court. Trying to avoid the hassles and bad reputation a courtroom can give, many people opt to settle their claims in environments outside of courthouses and with the help of their attorneys. Movie actress Eva Longoria did just that when one man filed a lawsuit against her in 2010.

The lawsuit was filed back in 2010 by Roman Gasparyan. The two drivers were on Hollywood Boulevard, located in Los Angeles, when the TV actress lost control of her vehicle and crashed into his 2002 BMW. Eva was driving a 2010 BMW. When the crash happened, Gasparyan claimed that the actress had “red and bloodshot” eyes.

Gasparyan claims he was waiting to make a left turn while in the median of the road. Then Eva, coming from the opposite direction made a sudden lane change. Her sudden maneuvering caused her to swerve into the median, colliding with Gasparyan and damaging both cars. Gasparyan’s SUV was damaged from the car accident. Luckily, neither was seriously injured.

BMW driver Roman Gasparyan is seeking compensation for his car damages as well as the pain and suffering he had to endure. He claims that he experienced both physical and mental sufferings. However, it is unspecified on how much money he was seeking from his damages.

When the mishap occurred, Eva’s representative stated that “There is absolutely no truth to this claim, and any indications to the contrary are completely false and untrue.” Whether the driver was telling the truth is still not clear since the claim was settled out of court.

The case was about to go to trial on August 15 of this year at Los Angeles Superior Court. However, on August 3, a settlement was announced to the courthouse stating that the two were able to fix the situation. How much money was exchanged is unknown.

Tony Parker, professional basketball player and Eva’s ex-husband, had his name as the owner of the BMW motor. His name was the registered owner or the vehicle. He was not at all involved with the accident and it is still unclear whether he was involved in any way in the settlement.

Eva Longoria is normally out of the spotlight when it comes to car accidents and government laws. Compared to other Hollywood starlets, the Desperate Housewives star has a good legal record. It was lucky that the actress was able to settle all issues out of court and out of public eye.

When car accidents happen, it is sometimes necessary to file a claim in order to seek compensation for your loss or car damages. Contacting a Los Angeles personal injury attorney can help you deal with the aftermath of a vehicle collision and get you back on your feet again.

Another famous Hollywood starlet has been involved in a vehicle fender bender. Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes is being accused of a hit-and-run car accident that happened on Monday, August 6. This accusation follows a string of car-related incidents, including a DUI charge, which the 26-year old actress has been involved in.

On Monday, Bynes was reportedly driving her black BMW when she accidentally hit a Toyota Corolla in Los Angeles. The driver, who only wants to be identified as Kisa, claims that she and Bynes had a brief conversation where Bynes refused to give insurance information and then drove off. Because there had been no obvious damage to either cars, the Hollywood actress did not want to exchange details with the Toyota driver. Kisa has filed a complaint with the police about the accident.

During their conversation, Kisa said that the Bynes looked nervous when the topic of exchanging information came up. That was when the actress tried to convince Kisa that her Toyota was not damaged and even tried pushing the woman’s rear bumper back into the car. Her own BMW had some significant damage but Bynes still tried to persuade the woman that an exchange of information was unnecessary. When no information seemed to come from Bynes, Kisa called the police who then took a hit-and-run report. Bynes hopped into her car and drove away before the cops could arrive.

If Kisa’s claim and accusation is true, it would make sense why the Hairspray actress did not want to exchange information and insurance details. Bynes had been arrested in April for driving under the influence. At 3 a.m. on an early April morning, Bynes struck a police car. She had pleaded not guilty on the incident, even tweeting to President Obama for an appeal. In the following months, Bynes also had an alleged hit-and-run accident that occurred in May. The young actress can’t seem to catch a break.

After every allegation fired at her, Bynes has claimed that it was all gossip that was triggered by her fame. In one tweet, Bynes wrote: “I can’t help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. I was not in any hit and runs. I don’t drink so the DUI is false.”

Currently, all the tweets from Amanda Bynes’ Twitter have been deleted. This odd state of the actress’ Twitter brings about questions of why she felt it necessary to destroy and remove any messages she has put out. However, it does make sense why Bynes would like to lie low from social media for awhile.

Getting into a car accident also brings out many hassles of filing insurance reports, getting into contact with other parties involved, and getting a police report. The personal injury that results from a car collision can also be tremendous. If you have ever been involved in a car accident, don’t hesitate to contact an Los Angeles personal injury attorney today.

Chargers’ Running Back in Minor Car Accident

A popular sports athlete has been involved in a minor collision while in the Sports Arena. San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews received minor injuries on Monday, July 30 after being involved in a two-vehicle collision around midnight. Luckily no major injuries were acquired from the car accident.

While driving down a road on his way to a team hotel, Mathews was going to the Interstate 8 at Sports Arena Boulevard when he lost control of his 2010 BMW. After losing control, his car drifted, causing him to turn the wheel which eventually made the BMW spin out. While his car spun out, that was when he hit another vehicle. The collision is what caused Mathews to have aches and minor pains the next day. The NFL player was taken to a hospital to be checked for any possible serious injuries.

The football star told reporters that he was only banged up “a little bit” at his elbow and was extremely sore the following day. He also told the press that he felt as if he had just played about four football games when he woke up the next morning.

The running back was suspected of driving too fast. However, neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be involved in the accident. Fortunately, the driver in the other car was not hurt and did not receive any personal injury from the mishap.

The Southern Californian football team was off Monday but began training again on Tuesday afternoon. Mathews sat out the practice and just watched from the side lines. The coach, Norv Turner, said that Mathews has a “day to day” status because of his current condition.

Ryan Mathews joined the Chargers two years ago when he was the first draft pick in April of 2010. He has signed a five year contract with the NFL team.

Getting into a car accident can cause major whiplash and sometimes internal injuries that do not manifest or show up until days—sometimes even weeks—later. It was smart that Mathews went to the hospital following his car crash just to make sure he did not receive any injuries that can prevent him from playing football successfully.

It is important to not drive too fast and to be careful out on the road. It was lucky that neither Mathews nor the other driver was hurt when the BMW spun out. Besides Mathews professional football career, there are still other things to worry about—such as the safety of those in the road. If you have been involved in a car collision, make sure you go to the hospital and get checked up on a doctor. Your number one priority should be your health. And as soon as you are able, call a San Diego car accident attorney to consult about any personal injury you may have gotten as a result of the crash impact. Remember to drive safely and to fight for your rights.

Iron Chef’s Cat Cora Faces DUI Charges

Details have been surfacing on Iron Chef Cat Cora’s DUI from last month. Famously known for her culinary skills and TV personality, a bit of bad press has now been added to Cat Cora’s portfolio. On Sunday, June 17, Cora was cited for driving under the influence in Santa Barbara and has her arraignment scheduled for July 26.

Cora rear-ended a 2001 BMW 325i when she was driving her 2007 Chevy Tahoe. This fender bender has now sparked the whirlwind of press and publicity.  After Cora had hit the driver in front of her, the BMW driver said that Cora appeared to be intoxicated. When cops arrived on the scene, a breathalyzer test revealed Cora’s blood level to be about 0.19. Keep in mind that the legal limit is 0.08%. The star also caused a minor traffic accident when she hit the BMW on the intersection of State and La Cumbre.

When asked about her alcohol intake, Cora claimed she only had three beers from a nearby bar called Cold Spring Tavern. Whether or not it was three beers or more, if drinking three beers can make your blood alcohol level to double the legal limit, then you should not be driving. Thankfully, no one got hurt because of Cora’s careless error in believing she was okay to drive.

The mishap happened during a Sunday evening at 6:15 p.m. The timing of the incident raises questions of why Cora had decided to become intoxicated so early in the morning. There have been speculations that Cora had been arguing with her partner right before she got into the car and drove.

The 45-year old can be watched on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” and Bravo’s “Around the World in 80 Plates.” Also, Cora is known for the three cooking books she has written. She is also the mother of four, raising the children with Jennifer Cora, her longtime partner.

The famous chef released a statement on Tuesday morning, July 10 through her publicist. In the statement, Cora expresses her regret for the decisions she chose to take. She went on to say that she had learned a lesson from this incident and is willing to take the responsibility of her actions. She ends her statement by saying it will never happen again.

Her issued statement seems sincere enough but only time will tell on whether it will happen again or not. DUI accidents are to be taken seriously. There is a zero tolerance policy on drunk driving and police men are cracking down everywhere to prevent any alcohol-related driving accidents.

If you have ever been a victim to personal injury because of a DUI driver, you are eligible to file a personal injury claim and gain compensation for your injuries, pain and suffering. Do not let the responsible party get away for their crime. When you consult with a Los Angeles car accident lawyer, you will gain the help and assistance that you need to combat the negligence of the guilty party.
